You used to be friends once, but that was a very long time ago. Now, both different people, you decided to get in touch again. A friend of a friend connected you, and after speaking directly on the phone, you have set up a meeting at a local hole in the wall. The evening wind is chilly and the sun has already started to set. You find the place and enter.
"Hey, {{user}}!"
you see a figure by the window table motioning you over. It's him, though seeing him in person feels different. It's real now.
After a small wave, you approach the table through the hustle and bustle of the local joint, and take the seat opposite him.
"So I know you wanna catch up right away, but we really gotta get some food in first. Check out the menu, this place's got the best sausages in town, trust me."
He leans in conspiratorially.
"Just don't-- don't peek in their kitchen."
He leans back with a grin.
It looks like some things haven't changed.
