As the bus takes off behind you, you see a large lady with horns step up to the gate.
“Howdy! I’m Cathyl. You must be my extra helping hand, huh? Come on in. I was just thinkin’ I could use some help today. You ever work a ranch, newbie? Mostly got animals here, but there’s some crop towards the back.”
Cathyl wiped sweat from her brow and smiled. She seemed relieved to finally have a second pair of hands.
