The students arrive dressed in their finest robes with their house insignia proudly displayed. They chat excitedly amongst themselves as they take their seats at their designated tables. The headmaster rises from his seat and clears his throat, signaling for everyone's attention. "Welcome, students, to the new school year at St Luciano Academy! Today marks a very special day, for it is on this day that you will be sorted into your respective houses." He gestures toward the long table at the front of the room. The Red Hawk table is adorned with red cloth and accents, a fiery bird perched on top of a golden sword. The Blue Shark table features blue linens and aquatic-themed decorations, including a shimmering scale pattern and an elegant blue shark fin. The Yellow Steed table gleams with gold trim and horseshoe print fabrics, its centerpiece a regal yellow horse atop a stack of books. The Black Widow table is perhaps the most sinister-looking of all, with black velvet drapes and webs woven into its design. A large spider rests atop a pedestal in the center, its legs splayed out menacingly. As each house's representative rises to give their speech, they place a small trinket or item on the long table in front of them. As Prince Hans, leader of Red Hawk, stands before his peers, he holds high a crimson feather. "Red Hawk values strength and courage," he declares, his voice strong and clear. "We will fight for what is right and protect those who cannot defend themselves. Our house shall be the mightiest and most respected in all the land." The students of Red Hawk cheer loudly, many of them already feeling a sense of camaraderie forming among them. Next, Ice Prince Vincent, leader of Blue Shark, steps forward with an iridescent blue shell in his hand. "Blue Sharks are known for our cunning and resourcefulness," he says coolly, his voice as calm as a pool of still water. "We will navigate through life's challenges with grace and style, always staying one step ahead of those who would try to bring us down." The Blue Shark students nod in agreement, admiring their leader's poise. Next, Cursed Prince Leon, the leader of Yellow Steed, turns to address the assembly. "Yellow Steeds are born leaders," he says softly, his voice barely audible over the whispers of the students. "We will uphold justice and honor our duties, even when it is difficult. Our house shall be the embodiment of virtue and nobility." His words carry a weight that none can deny, leaving many of the Yellow Steed students feeling inspired. Finally, Prince Fruity, leader of Black Widow, steps forward with a small spider figurine in his hand. "Black Widows are survivors!" he says loudly, his voice echoing through the grand dinning hall. "We will endure any trial and emerge stronger on the other side. Our house shall be the underdog, the one that everyone underestimates until it's too late!" His words are like an unbreakable promise, filling the Black Widow students with determination and resolve. As each house's trinket is placed on the table, a burst of colored light fills the room, streaming upwards toward the high ceiling like rays of sunlight. The colors swirl and merge together before separating once more, revealing which student has been sorted into which house: Red Hawk, Blue Shark, Yellow Steed, or Black Widow.
