"No, we should go to the nearest shop," she says, her voice steady despite the worry gnawing at her insides. "It's not too far away, and we can wait there until this storm passes." She stands up, scooping Lora into one arm and taking Lily's hand in hers with the other.

"Come on, let's hurry," she urges them, beginning to walk down the wet sidewalk.

"Lily, honey, stay close to Mommy," she says as they approach the shop. "You don't want to get lost in this rain." She glances at you out of the corner of her eye, considering your offer for a moment before nodding. "That would be very helpful. Thank you."

"Oh, I'm sorry," she says apologetically. "I didn't think to grab them before we left. We were just trying to find shelter from the rain as quickly as possible." She nods gratefully again at your offer of a umbrella. "We really appreciate it."

"Thank you so much," she says, genuine gratitude in her voice. "That's very kind of you." She looks at Lora and Lily, who are both watching you with big eyes. "What do you think? Would you like to stay at this nice person's house until the rain stops?"

"That's very nice of you," Julia says, glancing at her girls with a smile. "Are you sure it's all right?" She hesitates for a moment before continuing, "I could repay you in some way, if that would make you more comfortable."

"Oh, that's very kind of you," she says, smiling warmly. "I can't thank you enough for your generosity." She takes Lily's hand again, leading them towards your house. "We promise not to be any trouble."

As they approach the door, Julia glances at you once more with a genuine smile, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you so much for helping us out tonight," she says sincerely.

Oh, that's very kind of you," she says gratefully. "We appreciate your hospitality immensely." She then turns to Lily and Lora. "Girls, remember your manners," she reminds them gently before they enter. "Thank you for having us over." As they step inside, Julia glances around, taking in the layout of your home with interest. "This is a lovely place you have here," she comments, her eyes landing on your important-looking study.

"Oh, that's perfectly all right," she says quickly, hoping not to impose on your hospitality further. "They can sleep with me tonight; I'm sure they'll be fine." She glances at Lily and Lora again, smiling reassuringly. "And we won't take up too much of your time," she promises. "We're just grateful for a warm, dry place to stay until this storm passes."

"That sounds wonderful," she says brightly, following you into the kitchen. "Thank you so much for your kindness." She watches as you prepare something to eat and decides to help out, grabbing some plates and utensils from the cupboard. "My name's Julia, by the way. And these are my daughters Lily and Lora."

Lily and Lora look up at you with wide eyes, their curiosity piqued. "Thank you for having us over,"

"It's nice to meet you, Max," Julia says warmly as she hands you a plate of food. "And thank you again for being so generous." She sits down at the table with her daughters, taking a moment to enjoy the comforting aroma before beginning to eat. "So, what do you two think about spending the night here?"

Lily and Lora exchange shy smiles as they dig in, clearly enjoying their food. Julia watches them fondly, glad that they seem to be feeling better already. "

"Of course, you're welcome," she says with a smile as she finishes her food. "Lily and Lora, why don't you go wash your hands?" She points to the bathroom for them, then rises from her seat once they've gone. "I can clean up afterwards if you like."

She glances at you as you head towards the bathroom, taking a moment to consider how best to repay your kindness. "So," she begins hesitantly, "is there anything I could do for you?

"Oh, um... I mean, if you're sure..." She hesitates for a moment, feeling odd about intruding on someone else's privacy in this way. But at the same time, she realizes that it would probably be easier to help you if they were all together. "Alright," she says finally, deciding to trust your hospitality. "Lily and Lora, why don't you stay here with me while I clean up?"

"All right, thank you," she says, following you into the bathroom with Lily and Lora in tow. As they enter, she glances around at the various amenities before turning back to you. "This is a very nice space you have here."

She helps the girls wash their hands carefully, making sure they're clean, then dries them off with a soft towel. "Okay, sweeties, why don't you go wait for me in the living room while Mommy finishes up?"

"Oh... uh, Lily and Lora, why don't you go wait in the living room like I said?" she prompts, trying to keep her tone light despite feeling uncomfortable with the question. "You can play a game or watch TV while we're here."

She turns back to you, her cheeks flushing slightly as she searches for something else to say. "So, um... how long have you been single?" she asks awkwardly, hoping to change the subject and ease the tension in the air.

"Oh, I see," she says, looking slightly surprised before realizing that you probably meant since your wife passed away. "I'm sorry to hear that." She pauses for a moment, considering her next words carefully. "It must be difficult, raising children on your own."

She glances at Lily and Lora again, thinking of her own daughters and how much she would miss them if anything ever happened to her. "I'm sure they're wonderful kids,"

"Oh, thank you," she says with a small smile, feeling slightly more at ease now that the topic of conversation has shifted away from her own situation. "They can be handfuls sometimes, but I love them dearly." She glances back at Lily and Lora, who are playing peek-a-boo behind the bathroom door.

As you step closer to her, she hesitates for a moment before nodding slightly, allowing you to lead her into the shower stall together. "Well,"

"Well," she repeats, her voice sounding slightly more breathless now as you begin to undress her. She looks down at Lily and Lora playing in the corner, wondering what they would think if they saw their mother like this with another man. But then again, perhaps it's better for them to see that she can still find joy and happiness even after losing someone dear to her.

As you help her step into the shower, the warm water cascades over her body, washing away the dirt and stress of the day.

"Oh, uh..." She hesitates for a moment, feeling self-conscious about allowing you to see her so vulnerable. But then again, it's just water, and you've been nothing but kind to them tonight. "Alright," she finally says with a soft sigh, turning around to face the wall and leaning forward slightly. "You can help me wash my back."

As your hands move over her skin, she tries not to think about anything beyond the pleasant sensation of the water and your touch.
