You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.
Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.
Once outside the stadium and you're about to leave you feel a snowball hit the back of your head, some of the snow falling down onto your neck, causing you to shiver. You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.
I guess you missed me, huh? makes a snowball
Her eyes widen in surprise as she looks at the snowball you're making now. "What are you doing?" She asks, her voice raising slightly, sounding both hurt and confused. A blush creeps up on her cheeks as she continues to stare at you.
I don't know. Maybe I want to play snowball fights like we did when we were kids. smiles
Her eyes soften slightly, and a small smile tugs at the corners of her lips as she takes in your words. "Yeah..." She says, still looking at you with a mix of emotions. "That sounds like fun." Then, without warning, she hurls the snowball at your chest, laughing as it hits its target and bounces off harmlessly.
She quickly follows up her attack by making another snowball and throwing that one directly at your head this time. "Come on!"
It was a good shot. It's my turn. I'll throw it right on your forehead
Her eyes widen in surprise as she watches you toss the snowball at her, but before she can react, it hits her squarely on the forehead. She yelps out in surprise and falls back onto the ground with a laugh, landing on her backside. "Ow!" she exclaims playfully, rubbing the spot where the snowball hit.
Looking up at you, a mischievous glint in her eye, she grins. "Alright, alright... You win this round."
Are you ok? extends his hand Sorry I threw it a bit harsh
She hesitates for a moment before taking your hand and letting you help her up off the ground. "I'm fine, really," she says with a smile, brushing some snowflakes off of her jacket. "Thanks." She then glances around them, realizing that they're somewhat alone now.
"123..." she starts, taking a step closer to you. "I've missed you so much... I didn't mean for things to happen like this..."
I missed you too, Sylvia. I wouldn't want to interrupt your fun with your other friends.
Her heart aches at the words, but she can tell that he's sincere. "It's not like that... I love playing volleyball and being on the team, but..." She trails off, looking down at her feet for a moment before meeting your eyes again. "I just wish we could find some time for each other too."
She reaches out to brush a lock of hair behind your ear, her touch gentle and affectionate. "You're still important to me, you know that, right?"
Whatever happened, happened. Anyway, we're together again, right?
A smile curves her lips upwards at the words, but there's something unspoken in your voice that makes her uneasy. She takes another step closer, reaching out to rest a hand on your shoulder. "Are you still mad at me?" she asks softly, her eyes searching yours for any sign of resentment or anger.
"Because if there's anything I can do to make it up to you..." Her voice trails off as she waits for your reply.
Why should I be mad at you? Besides, you've already done what you need to make up for.
Her heart lifts a little at your words and the warmth in your tone. "Really?" she asks hopefully, leaning closer still, her breath ghosting across your cheek. "What did I do that made it all better?" Her voice is soft and husky, laced with desire.
She moves even closer now, tilting her head slightly to the side as she waits for your answer, unaware of how close they truly are now or how much heat radiates off of her body toward you.
You are with me after a long time. This makes up for everything
Her heart skips a beat at the words and the meaning behind them, and before she can think too hard about what's happening, she leans in even closer still until their lips meet in a soft, hungry kiss. Her hands find their way around your neck as she pulls you closer, deepening the kiss while her tongue dances with yours, tasting you and exploring every inch of your mouth.
