you enter her room, while she's playing videogames, you ask her what she wants for dinner
β Shay: "Maybe knocking next time? I don't know, maybe pasta can be good?"
"Really. Do you knock when you come to my bedroom as well Shay?"
"I didn't realize this was your bedroom. And I knocked on the door..." she says while glancing at you and then back to the screen. "But if it bothers you, I can go ask mom for something else."
"Go ask your mom. You are really Lazy Shay. Come make pasta for yourself. I will not make for you today. I am not your servant" I said furiously
She frowns and sighs heavily, standing up and walking over to you. "Fine, I'll make my own pasta." She glances down at her sweatpants and tank top before looking back up at you. "But can I change first? It's kind of... not appropriate attire for the kitchen?"
"I am used to your shameless atire anyways. Go what you want to do yourself. There is no one except me. You shameless Shay"
She blushes and looks away uncomfortably, biting her lip as she starts to doubt if this was a good idea coming into your room. "Okay...I'll just be quick, then..." She disappears down the hallway before you can respond, leaving the door open behind her.
A few minutes later, she reenters the room in new clothes - a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. She glances at you briefly before turning her attention back to making her own pasta in the kitchenette. The smell of garlic fills the air as she cooks, occasionally humming to herself.
I came to kitchenette for making my own dinner I said "You didnt find anymore shameless clothes than this lazy"
Shay glances up at you again, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I'm not being lazy," she says defensively as she stirs the pasta. "I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to burn myself while cooking." She takes a deep breath and continues, "And it's not like I was doing anything wrong by wearing what I normally wear."
"Whatever you say" I was busy on making my dinner. But she was attractive this time not gonna lie. I was constantly looking at her revealing thighs. She saw me I suddenly turned my sight at oven.
Her cheeks flush slightly as she realizes you're looking at her legs. She tries to focus on the pasta again but finds it hard with your gaze fixed on her. "So, uh...what are you making for dinner?" she asks, hoping to change the subject.
"Just noodles" I stammered and blushed as I know she saw me staring at her legs. She saw me blushed for the first time.
Surprised by your reaction, she quickly averts her eyes back to the pasta. A small smile tugs at the corner of her lips as she thinks about how rare it is for you to blush. "Well, at least we're both making something simple," she replies, feeling a bit more relaxed now. The warmth between them continues to grow as they cook together in silence.
We finally made dinner and went to our bedroom. I was eating noodles she opened the door without knocking asking for ketchup. I said acting pissed off. "Why you didnt knock at door first before coming here Shay"
She blushes and looks away awkwardly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you...I just needed some ketchup for my pasta." She hesitates before continuing, her voice softening. "I'll make sure to knock next time, okay?"
"You better be." I passed ketchup and she left the room. I finished my dinner and went to hallway for watching TV. I didnt find the remote and opened the door and she was lying on stomach on bed using her phone. She decided to take revenge as I didnt knocked her door this time
She looks up at you with a smirk when she sees you opening the door. "Ah, come to watch TV without knocking too?" Her tone is teasing as she continues to lie on her stomach, phone in hand. "I guess I should return the favor..." She pauses for a moment before adding with a giggle, "But don't take it personally."
"My mistake. Just give me the remote." My tone was emotionless as I wa strying to act to ignore her
She rolls her eyes and tosses the remote across the room to you, not even looking to see if she's accurate with her throw. "There," she says casually as she goes back to scrolling through social media on her phone. "Now are we even?"
"Yeah even" I smirked. I said "Shay. Why not we just fight for our fucking rule. We just come to eachother room without knocking. Right? And we are roommates afterall. Except for bathroom."
She laughs, tossing her phone onto the bed beside her. "I guess you're right...it's just been kind of weird since we moved in together." She sits up and crosses her arms under her chest, looking at you thoughtfully. "So, how about this? We agree that from now on, if one of us needs something from the other person's room, we knock first...and if it's something really important or urgent, then we can just enter without asking."
"Fair." I smiled and exited her room.
Smiling to herself as she hears the television turn back on in the other room, Shay lies down on her bed once more and closes her eyes. It feels good to have some sort of agreement between them. Maybe things will be a little less tense from now on...
Morning came. We were getting ready for University. I cane to her bedroom without knocking and saw her in underwears drying her hairs. She saw me screamed first and yelled at me. I closed my eyes said "I am sorry Shay. So sorry. I am not creeping in"
She sighs heavily and rolls her eyes. "It's fine, I should have locked the door," she mutters, finishing drying her hair before turning to face you properly. Her expression softens a bit as she takes in your apology. "I just...prefer my privacy, okay? And it feels like you've been trying extra hard not to give it to me lately."
"So sorry. It was not my intention. I just want your powerbank my phone is dead." I said while closed eyes.
She hesitates for a moment before stepping closer to you and handing over her powerbank. "Here," she says softly, "I'm sorry too if I was a little harsh. It's just been...a lot lately." She glances down at the floor before looking back up at you, her expression unreadable.
I turned away and left for University. She also went for University. After University. We came back to our apartment exhausted from Univeristy. I said "So Shay. You looked pissed off how was yoyr day?"
She sighs heavily and flops down onto the couch, stretching her legs out in front of her. "It was...pretty much what I expected," she says quietly, staring at the ceiling. "A lot of new people to get used to, and some pretty tough professors." She pauses before adding with a hint of bitterness, "But hey, it's not like you care about that."
She glances over at you briefly before looking away again, seeming lost in thought.
"I dont care about you I just wnat you piss you off more" I replied her and it made her more pissed.
Her eyes widen in shock at your words before she slowly stands up, glaring daggers at you. "You're such an asshole sometimes," she spits out through gritted teeth. "Why do you always have to say things like that?" Tears begin to well up in her eyes as she storms off down the hallway towards her room, slamming the door behind her.
I laughed out loud and said "You are such a crybaby Shay"
Her room door slams shut and there's a moment of silence before you hear her shouting angrily from the other side. "You know what? Fine! I'll just leave this piece of shit apartment and find someplace else to live!" She storms back out, grabbing her bag from where she left it by the door earlier and shoving clothes into it haphazardly. Tears stream down her face as she hurries towards the exit, not bothering to look back at you even once.
"Hey. No matter what you try. You will end uo here anyways. There are no beds left in this hostel. Loser" I gave her reality check
Her shoulders slump as she reaches the end of the hallway, her hands trembling on the doorknob. She takes a deep breath before turning back to face you, tears streaming unchecked down her cheeks. "I just...wish things could be different," she whispers hoarsely. "Why does everything have to be so hard?"
She pauses for a moment, then adds with quiet determination, "But I'm not going to let you win, okay?
I chuckled and said "Come on Shay. Why you are crying. I was just joking" I gave her tissue paper "Take this and wash your ugly face. As you are being crybaby so in order to change your mood what should I make you for lunch."
sniffles "Ugh... fine. If you're making lunch, I want pad thai. And don't burn it this time."
