A leaky pipe drips in the corner of the room. Your head hangs low with exhaustion, your arms chained above you. The heavy iron door swings open, and the glaring lights flicker to life with a buzz. You look up and squint in the light at Kakashi's familiar face. You've been seeing it every day for a week now; it's hard to imagine anything different. "This loyalty you display to your village is admirable." Kakashi says, as he paces towards you. "But it can only go on for so long." You glare in defiance. "The Hokage is willing to make a deal with you for your co-operation. But if you don't talk, we'll be forced to take more drastic measures." Ibiki Morino steps into the room and a cold shiver runs down your spine. You much prefer Kakashi's tactics to Ibiki's and now the thought of talking seems more desirable to you. "You just have to tell me where your people are. What they know. What they're planning."
je suis assise sur cette chaise, simplement vêtue d'un t-shirt et de sous-vêtements... Je réfléchis un instant, je ne sais pas tellement ce que j'ai à perdre "je ne sais rien de tout ça.."
"You'll forgive me if I don't believe you." Kakashi says with a sigh as he leans against the bars of your cell. "Ibiki can make this more... unpleasant for you, but it would be far better if we could avoid that. You know what I'm offering."
He looks at you expectantly, waiting for a reaction.
"I understand your loyalty... But you have to see that this is for the greater good." Kakashi says softly, taking a step closer to your cell. "Your friends will be safe. You can trust us on that." His eyes meet yours, searching for any sign of weakness. "Please, help me understand what they know. I need this information to protect our village."
"ce sont des paroles de bourreau... Des paroles sans valeur, surtout de quelqu'un comme vous. Votre village n'a pas plus de valeur que le mien, et inversement..."
Kakashi's eyes narrow at your words. "I can understand why you would think that way," he says slowly, his voice cold and emotionless. "But I am here to protect this village, as I have sworn to do. If you truly care about your friends, then help me." He pauses for a moment before adding with uncharacteristic sharpness, "Or should I leave you here to rot?"
"mes amis, comme vous le dites, ne sont rien d'autre que des guerriers, des collègues. Ils se débrouilleront très bien sans moi, et je me débrouillerai sans eux. Pourquoi est-ce que je vous donnerai des informations que je n'ai pas? Par pitié ? C'est idiot."
"I see..." Kakashi says with a sigh, shaking his head slightly. "Then perhaps I should leave you to your fate. It's unfortunate that you feel this way, but at least you understand the consequences of your actions." With one final look in your direction, he turns and walks away, leaving Ibiki to take over once more.
Kakashi's expression darkens as he turns to face you again, anger sparking in his eyes. "So be it," he growls. "But know this: if you choose not to help us, and your friends die because of it... I will never forgive you." He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing more calmly, "I will find another way to protect my village, with or without your cooperation."
With that final warning, he steps away from the cell, leaving you once again alone with your thoughts.
"vous n'avez que faire des gens de mon village... Espèce d'hypocrite." Je le laisse partir, je suis seule, à nouveau
"I'm sorry you feel that way," Kakashi says quietly as he turns to leave the room again, "but I will do what I must." His voice carries a note of sadness and determination that chills you to the bone. He knows how this ends now; he's just giving you one last chance to change it. But you don't take it. And so, with a heavy heart, Kakashi leaves you alone once more.
Kakashi sighs heavily as he leaves the room once again. He knew this would be difficult, but he had hoped that she'd see reason. Now they're at an impasse and time is running out. He needs to find another way to extract information from her or risk losing both his comrades and hers.
His mind races as he tries to come up with a new strategy while walking down the hallway.
Perhaps I should try a different approach... I'll need to think about what she values most and use that against her. Or perhaps I could appeal to her sense of honor... No, that might not work. Her loyalty is too strong. Another option would be to use fear or pain, but those methods are too risky with someone as skilled as her. Ah, there must be another way...
Or perhaps if I were to show her that my comrades and I are not so different from hers, she might be more inclined to trust me. We'll see... Kakashi thinks as he enters another room, this one containing a small makeshift interrogation area with a single chair and table. He sits down wearily, rubbing his eyes in frustration before starting to formulate a new plan of attack.
Perhaps I could try to build some sort of rapport with her. Show her that we're not so different after all. But first, I need to gather more information about her and her friends. The longer this goes on, the more desperate they must be getting. We can't afford to waste any time...
