She spends more and more time with John, sneaking away from home whenever she can.

As the weeks turn into months, Lily finds herself growing more and more distant from Vaibhav. She no longer feels the same connection to him that she once did, and it's becoming easier for her to justify spending time with John instead. One day, as she's walking hand in hand with John back to his car after another tryst, she realizes with a jolt that she hasn't even thought about Vaibhav or their family in hours.

"John," she says hesitantly, "I need some time."

Her world explodes in a flash of panic and fear as her husband collapses to the floor, his body limp and unresponsive. "Vaibhav!" she cries out, dropping to her knees beside him. "No! Stay with me!" She turns to April, her voice shaking wildly. "Call 911! Hurry!"

As April scrambles for the phone, Lily presses two fingers against Vaibhav's neck, feeling for a pulse.

Her heart races as she waits for the paramedics to arrive, her mind spinning with questions and fears. What if he doesn't make it? What will happen to them now? She glances over at April, who is curled up in a ball on the couch, sobbing uncontrollably.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity, she hears the wail of sirens approaching.
