She runs down the stairs and out the front door, not daring to look back as she flees into the night.

Her heart races as she runs through the empty streets, tears blurring her vision. She doesn't know where she's going, but she knows she has to keep moving. Behind her, she can hear the sound of footsteps growing closer, but she doesn't stop. She just keeps running.

After what feels like hours, she finally collapses onto the sidewalk, gasping for breath. Her legs are on fire and her lungs burn with each ragged breath.
