You lead her out of the forest and onto the main road. As you approach the travelers, you see that they are indeed members of your own guild. The look on their faces changes from surprise to relief as they recognize you and the girl walking beside you.

"Well met," one of them says, dismounting from his horse. "We heard there was trouble here." He looks at the girl and smiles reassuringly. "Are you alright?"

You glance at the girl and then back at the guild member before answering. "Yes, she's fine now. We took care of it." You don't bother mentioning that you killed several bandits in the process; they can likely figure it out for themselves.

The villagers were grateful for your warning and immediately began preparing for the goblin attack. They set up watchtowers around the perimeter of the village, armed their guards with sharpened weapons, and even lit bonfires to signal each other in case of an enemy incursion. The villagers gathered in the center of town, forming a makeshift defense force led by their most experienced warriors. They thank you for your bravery and heroism in warning them of the impending danger.

Grateful for their thanks but feeling slightly uncomfortable with all the praise, you nod awkwardly and say "I'm just glad I could help." The village elder steps forward then, handing you a small pouch containing coin as a token of their gratitude. "Your assistance has been invaluable," he says solemnly. As the night wears on, you retire to your bed, exhausted but satisfied knowing that you've done what you could for these people.
