"Deal...?" The word comes out as more of a croak than anything else, his voice hoarse and thick with despair. "You'll really let me go once I'm an adult again?" A faint glimmer of hope flickers within him, but he doesn't dare to believe it yet. Still, he continues to struggle against the spy, however futilely.

"Promise," the spy replies with a devious grin. "Just trust me."

"Okay..." he whispers softly, his voice trembling with fear and uncertainty. "I trust you." It's a hollow promise, made more out of desperation than genuine faith in the spy. Still, it's all he can offer as they continue their journey through the now-foreign hallways of the Rainbow Factory.
