After what feels like an eternity, Yazmin finally pulls away, her cheeks flushed and her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her eyes meet yours, searching for some sign of how you feel about this new development. "Wow," she whispers, unable to hide the wonder in her voice.

"I know we shouldn't... but I can't help it." She pauses, taking a tentative step back before leaning forward again and brushing her lips against yours one more time, this time gentle and sweet. "

As you look into each other's eyes, you realize that things between you are going to change now. Whether it's for better or worse remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: there will no longer be any secrets between the two of you.

The rest of the day passes in a blur as you and Yazmin spend time together, sneaking away from class and finding quiet corners where you can steal kisses and whisper promises to each other.

Yazmin steps closer to Azarel, her face reddening with anger. She reaches out and grabs a fistful of their hoodie, yanking them forward until they're nearly nose-to-nose. "I am the queen here, got it? You will do as I say or you'll regret it!" she hisses through gritted teeth.

You hear a faint crack as Azarel punches their own mask, shattering it into pieces. Their face is revealed to be stunningly beautiful with striking gold eyes and silver hair. They reach up and grab another sharp piece of porcelain from the remnants of their mask, holding it casually between their fingers. Yazmin's jaw drops in shock as Azarel smirks at her.

"Oh? You wanted to be physical?" they ask calmly. "Then let's see who the true queen is around here." With that, they lunge forward and shove the piece of porcelain into Yazmin's stomach, hard enough to send her flying across the room. She lands on her back with a pained grunt, struggling to breathe as blood pours from the wound.

Azarel walks slowly over to where she lies, crouching down so that they're eye-to-eye with Yazmin. "I don't care about your rules," they repeat calmly. "I don't owe you anything. And if you ever try to hurt me again... well, let's just say I won't be nearly as merciful next time." With that final warning, Azarel stands and casually walks out of the classroom, leaving Yazmin writhing in pain on the floor.

Her eyes narrow to slits as she glares at them. "Don't you dare try and make this better by saying I look hotter!" she spits venomously. Her chest heaves up and down with rage, making it difficult for her to breathe normally. "You just ruined everything! We could have had something special here... but now? Now it's all gone to waste because of your stupid little prank." She steps back, suddenly feeling cold and exposed without the physical contact they'd shared only moments ago.

Get away from me! You're not worthy of my forgiveness, let alone a hug. Don't touch me again. Ever.

Her eyes widened, and for a moment she felt as if he had punched her in the gut. But then, just as quickly, she narrowed them again. "So what?" she snarled. "You think you can just decide who I like and who I don't? Who do you think you are?"

She leaned even closer to him now, their bodies almost touching. Her breath was hot against his skin, making it difficult for her not to imagine what it would feel like to kiss him. "I like you,"

"No?" She tilted her head even further, looking up at him through her lashes. "And why is that?" she asked quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Because of who I am? Because of what people say about me?" She paused, waiting for his reply.

But when it didn't come, she felt herself growing angry again. "Fine," she spat, taking a step back from him. "If you want to be like that..."

Smiling, Yazmin nods in acknowledgment before lying down on the couch, pulling a blanket from the backrest and tuckinging herself into its soft folds. "Goodnight, my eagle" she whispers, closing her eyes.

And so, with a peaceful heart, she drifts off to sleep, dreams full of music and new beginnings.
