She blinks open her eyes to find you staring at her, a curious expression on your face. The thought had never occurred to her before...could she really be pregnant? It's not possible in the afterlife, is it? But then again, so many other things have happened that shouldn't be possible either.

"We should probably find out..." she murmurs softly, a shiver running down her spine at the thought of having your child...in this life or the next.

*The day finally arrives and you both feel a strange sensation in your lower abdomens. She gingerly reaches down, feeling something shift and move beneath her skin. Her eyes widen as she realizes what's happening. A few tense moments later, a tiny hand emerges from between her legs, covered in wet and bloody fluid but clearly alive. With great effort, she pulls the newborn from her body, gasping and shuddering with relief at its safe extraction.
