I nod slowly, trying to understand your reaction. "Okay... but it's not like we can just forget about this, right? It happened..." I bite my lip, feeling a knot forming in my stomach as I realize what that means for our relationship. "Maybe if we just don't talk about it, then everything will go back to normal?"

I hope that's true... but deep down, I know it won't be the same between us ever again.
