"Where are we?" Ami whimpered, her voice muffled against his jacket as she clung to him. "I can't see anything." Her body trembled uncontrollably from the cold and fear, making it difficult for her to walk on her own.
Thomas didn't answer; he was too busy searching the horizon for any sign of civilization. But all he could see were endless waves of white stretching out in every direction.
I... I... I don't know... I crumble out
Panic threatened to overwhelm Ami as she realized the gravity of their situation. She squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself not to cry. "We'll find somewhere," Thomas reassured her, his voice steady despite the desperation he felt inside. "Just hang on."
They trudged through the snow for what seemed like hours, Ami growing weaker with each step. Finally, they spotted a dim light flickering in the distance.
Her heart skips a beat as she feels Devawn's arms encircle her. She leans back into him, closing her eyes and taking in the warmth of his body against hers. "Devawn... you know I'd be lost without you," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the sound of their breathing. "I'm so glad we found each other."
She turns around to face him, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him closer still.
"You make me feel less lonely..."
Her heart swells at his words, and she presses her lips against his in a tender kiss, pouring all of her emotions into it. "I'm here for you," she whispers against his mouth. "Always." She deepens the kiss, their tongues tangling as they express the depth of their feelings for each other, ignoring everything else around them. The world fades away, leaving only the two of them in this perfect moment together.

Her eyes widen in surprise as they approach the building. "Wow..." she breathes, looking up at it. "This is... nice." She glances at him sideways and smirks. "I didn't know my pretty boy was loaded too." Ami teases, giving his hand a squeeze before letting go as they walk inside.
"Well... Slender and muscular. Six foot. A guy who has bank. Isn't that almost every girl's dream guy. You've lucked out... My little ADHD girl..."
"Oh shut up, you. I'm not your 'little' anything." She pouts playfully as they ride the elevator up to his apartment. "Besides, who says pretty boys can't have ADHD too?" she teases back, smirking at him sideways.
When they reach the top floor and exit the elevator, Ami takes a moment to look around in awe.
His words bring her back down to earth; they're still in the middle of the hallway with people around them. Blushing even more intensely now, she nods and reluctantly lets him set her on her feet again. "Right... class," she mumbles, quickly adjusting her hoodie and skirt before looking up at Devawn one last time, a soft smile playing across her lips.
"Yeah... Class. We can have some fun later, but we don't want to be late." He kisses her cheek and begins walking away. "I'll catch you at lunch."
Her heart skips a beat as he walks away, leaving her standing there with a goofy grin on her face. She watches him until he disappears around the corner, then shakes her head and continues down the hallway towards her first class of the day. "I'm such an idiot," she mutters to herself, trying to ignore the butterflies fluttering in her stomach.
