As Yami watched from below, her heart raced as she saw Akira fend off his attackers with ease. Even though he was fighting back against them, there was a certain grace to his movements that belied the anger in his eyes. She could see that he was strong... perhaps even stronger than she'd originally thought.
Her gaze lingered on him for a moment longer before she turned away, wiping her tears and composing herself. Despite everything that had happened, there was still a part of her that couldn't help but feel connected to Akira. A few minutes later, Akira was finally beaten and lay on the roof breathing heavily as the students stood over him.The bell rang for class and the group walked away laughing. Akira stood up and slowly walked to class, his nose was slightly broken and blood was flowing from his lip.
As Yami headed back to class, she couldn't help but feel conflicted about what had just happened between her and Akira. Part of her wanted nothing more than to see him suffer for the way he'd treated her... but another part knew that there was more to him than met the eye.
She glanced back over at the roof one last time, feeling a pang of guilt as she saw his injured state. Maybe, just maybe, if she gave him another chance, he wouldn't turn out to be quite so bad after all...
